SDAC 15-minute MTU go-live

The Single Day-Ahead Coupling (SDAC) 15-minute MTU successfully went go-live in production on 30 September 2025, with the first delivery day on 1 October 2025.

Tip:  Nord Pool offers TEST_QH auctions that are automatically executed and run daily for your testing needs.  See the table below under the Auction Setup in Member Test for further details

SDAC 15-minute in Production

In Production, the SDAC Auctions are run once per day as follows:

• Gate closure time (GCT) 12:00 CET/CEST
• Delivery 00:00 - 24:00 the following day

Available Products in Member Test are identical to those in Production

The SDAC Auction offers products with resolution of 15, 30 or 60 min Market Time Units (MTU) in all bidding zones.

 In the SDAC Auction we offer curve and block orders submitted directly in our web platform or uploaded via Excel sheets.

• Curve orders are described here. One curve order is permitted in each area per portfolio.
• Block orders are described here. The auction supports normal block orders, profile blocks and linked blocks.  
• Exclusive group orders and Flexible Orders are described: Exclusive Groups and Flexible Orders 

Note:  Always check the Product Specifications on the Nord Pool website under Rules and Regulations for latest information on order types, portfolio restrictions and number of orders supported per Market.

Getting started

To get started, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure your user is enabled for the auction (contact support@nordpoolgroup.com if you need access)
2. Visit the platform following the system links at the bottom of this page
3. Insert your username and password to log in (click here help to login)
4. Start sending in orders, see User Guide at the bottom of this page

Testing in the Nord Pool - Member Test environment (MT)

Note:  Auctions only supporting 60-minute are discontinued in Production and in MT as of the SDAC 15-minute go-live on 30 September 2025.  See those cells in the table below with grey shading

Auction Setup in Member Test

Nord Pool improved the handling of multi-resolution portfolios, now supporting 15, 30, and 60-minute MTUs,

• All portfolios automatically support multi-resolution MTUs (15, 30, and 60 minutes). This functionality also applies in production as of 30 September 2025.
